Means market makers read the 10ks then they know what kind of POS they are dealing with. You should do the same always.

The MM will sell themselves 10K shares at the bid and keep taking the bid lower which will cause little panic and get some sellers to sell their shares. Plus the MM can see all the stop-loss orders, so they will keep lowering the bid to take out all stop loss orders.

They do this with stocks which are likely to move up. Most likely the MM's took all the shares they could during the takedown and went long overnight. They have those shares. Tomorrow they will sell them to retail at 7, 8, 9 and make money.
