I don't think PR would do anything right now, I could be completely wrong, but there would be nothing substantive behind it, it would be a lot of hot air. Sure, we have rights, but we have no idea when we'll make any money off those rights because our partners, who control the timeframe on exploration, drilling and production haven't decided yet when they will begin. I don't think anyone will be rushing to invest in ERHC until a concrete, definitive timelime on drilling is announced by SNP, Addax and APC respectively. Once that is done, I will expect ERHC to go on a road show and conduct comprehensive PR since the company will have something to sell with substance behind it.
Secondly, in the long run who cares when the greatest news in our company's history is announced, I guess those who were planning to sell on a bigger pop must've been upset, I could careless, I have never sold a share of ERHC and I accummulate when I can, so near term pops on traders swings don't impact me. Even if that news had been announced at a more opportune time for traders, it would have been sold down, and we would be at the same price we are trading at today.
Offor hiring a Crony CFO, oh well, he's the controlling shareholder, and I'm sure he didn't know that his pal lied about his CPA, had he not lied about it, he probably wouldn't have been hired for lack of credentials, but on the otherhand if he did have a CPA, he would still be our CFO today. Franklin didn't do anything to materially impact ERHC.
The dozen's of lawsuits against ERHC that the DOJ is looking into? If I remember correctly all of those lawsuits against ERHC were filed against ERHC prior to Offor and had to do with the company's activities prior to STP. They were disguntled employees from the well clean up and fire prevention activities of ERHC and I believe Bass's wife had a claim for something. The only lawsuit that came after Offor was the one with FAB. That suit was against all of Offer's companies, not just ERHC. FAB had loaned I believe Offor over $30 million, and grouped all his companies in there to ensure that they could recover that $30 million. In all likelihood had that case gone to trial, ERHC would have been dismissed as a party to the suit, regardless the suit was settled with prejudice, and Offor settled it with shares from ERHC. Offor is free to settle that suit anyway he wants, if he didn't have the cash to pay for the bond he defaulted on with FAB, he had to pay off FAB with whatever he could, and he had ERHC shares. If the DOJ is looking into those lawsuits, and I don't think it was dozens, I doubt there is anything there that will impact ERHC, furthermore, I guess you buy the conspiracy theory that the FAB settlement was a payoff by Offor. Well maybe the DOJ will find something there, I for one doubt it was a payoff.
We're all pissed off were the share price is, but when the price doesn't meet expectations, everyone looks for a scapegoat, and this week's goat is Offor. How quickly everyone forgets all that he's done for the company when looking for someone to pin the lousy share price on.
