Number nine on our Arran Whisky Christmas list is the very first White Stag release. Dedicated to our online community of whisky drinkers, the first release launched in June 2015.

Since then, lots more Arran whisky drinkers have joined in the conversation, leading us to plan more new and exciting exclusive events and surprises for our community in 2018.

Repost from @astoriannyc: As the holidays approach, we're thankful to be bold enough to take risks, blessed to have such a talented and noble staff, and humbled by how warm and welcoming the #astoria hospitality community has been. A very gracious thank-you to @sweetaftonbar and @thebonniebar who stopped by with some welcoming holiday cheer in the form of @knappoguewhiskey 12yr. You guys are the epitome of grace and class. ??

Yes it's a trade rag, but just a few years ago they didn't cover anything ROX said or did.

Review...Arran 2000 for La Maison du Whisky, 17 YO, OB, 54.6%, B:2017, cask 2000/136, 143 bottles. Price:
Colour: Old gold-amber

If I ever could taste this I would buy it!

Nose: Very fruity and sweet, malty, juicy, on canned (tinned) peaches, mango and juicy pineapples. Very good.
Taste: Rich to very rich, very sweet and fruity, floral, slightly malty, on fruit jam, canned (tinned) peaches, mango, orange, dried and candied orange, exotic fruits, cooked apple and some lime. The finish is medium to long, very sweet and fruity, rich, intense, slightly malty, on candied and dried fruits (orange, mango and exotic fruits). Diluted, it becomes more on dry tobacco and cigar leaves, with a light smokiness.
Impression: A surprisingly sweet and fruity Arran. A whisky that improves in the bottle over time. The fruity flavours are excellent, with a lot of orange, including dried and candied orange, as well as some round honey flavours. One of the best Arran I have tasted over the last years.
Rating: 17/20 PA:G1
