I was wondering if a viscous Brilacidin formulation would effectively increase the duration of mucosal contact and further improve outcomes. Viscous lidocaine vs lidocaine spray comes to mind. I think the numbing action of viscous lidocaine on mucosal tissue is about twice as long as the spray. One reference says Viscous lidocaine is formulated with lidocaine, amaranth, methylparaben, propylparaben, and carboxymethylcellulose. Might be worth consideration.
