#284853 RE: Pierretp #284852

1. I have yet to see a single post on this message board claiming that the company is profitable. The CEO also has never claimed that the company is profitable.

2. The reference to 5000% improvement is associated with transactions...not profits. And I believe you are overstating the claim... I’ve seen claims of 4000% which is still obviously a very large number. That is simply a mathematical calculation of the FB reported transaction growth statistics that the CEO has shared. No one has to believe the CEO but the 4000% is a pretty accurate calculation of the periodic growth numbers that have been reported. No need to attack the people doing the math. I don’t believe I have ever made this claim of 4000% growth but I have done the math and that number does seem pretty accurate. That being said, I do think the revenue projections of those making them on this message board are probably way to aggressive. I did a calculation starting with a much lower and realistic first week transaction count. The percentage growth is staggering but the actual total volume isn’t staggering because my assumptions started much lower.

3. You have accused me of citing a Feb 15 reporting date. I have NEVER suggested that I think MEC will report by Feb 15. In fact, I issued a post indicating that it is unlikely we will see financials submitted by that date because the year-end financials aren’t due until 90 days after year-end. I have never seen MEC submit financials before they are due...even when they were actively reporting. They always reported at the very last minute. Therefore, if MEC does submit a 10-K for 2017, I personally don’t expect them to submit before the March 31 deadline.
I think we could all be more cautious about speaking for “all shareholders”. I realize I don’t speak for you...and you certainly don’t speak for me. I have no inside information about MEC but I remain objective in spite of owning 25m shares and being down over $200k on my investment. That being said, I am bullish on the Africa strategy and think it represents an exponentially larger opportunity than any of the failed domestic projects that never materialized. I’m committed to maintaining objectivity in my future posts and would ask that that everyone else consider doing the same. Good luck with your investments.
