RBC raises their tgt on RIMM to $140 from $100 following earnings. The firm says RIM beat Q2 expectations on new products, upgrades and channel expansion. The firm says while enterprise growth is expected to continue, Q2 results and guidance further improve visibility into RIM's 4x addressable market expansion via its consumer strategy, while affirming its competitive advantages against 'Blackberry Killers'.

Piper Jaffray says RIMM anticipates accelerating net subscriber growth for the Nov quarter with guidance of 800,000 net adds. With the launch of the 8703e at VZ and S, the Pearl at T-Mobile and European carriers, and 8707 in Japan, firm believes these new devices should help accelerate subscriber growth and firm is maintaining their 813,000 net addition est. In fact, firm says mgmt indicated that weekly net subscriber rates are currently running at 60K during Sept. With the 8703 just now becoming available at VZ and increased Pearl marketing campaigns starting in Oct, firm believes this weekly sub rate should improve throughout the quarter. Firm raises their tgt to $100 from $79.
