"It’s still a very high risk stock."

I disagree. KBLB's 52 week price performance is +11.46% (Fidelity). If you think investing in blue chips is safer, just take a look at GE. It's 52 week performance is -41.79% (Fidelity).

Before you jump down my throat, there is no comparison between GE and KBLB as far as size and quality go, BUT KBLB has been a safer stock. At this stage, I believe KBLB is a less risky stock than a lot of stocks out there.

Plus, the company is very close to FINALLY achieving two of its most important milestones, entering Vietnam and beginning full scale production.

Also, if you read PFS's post # 129360, you will see that he (and I totally agree) believes that capacity is increasing. Here is what PFS stated in that post:

The accompanying photograph shows cocoons in the mounting mesh, further evidence of substantial moth production.

Why is this important? It indicates a major scale-up in production. Cocoons from moths cannot be used for silk. As they chew their way out of the cocoon, the moths damage the fiber and it can't be used as a source of thread. If you intend to harvest the silk, once the silkworm has spun the full cocoon, he/she is toast. You boil the cocoon and harvest the silk.

Of course, you have to allow some of the silkworms to emerge and mate to produce the next generation of eggs. In a steady-state system, only 1 in 100 eggs will be allowed to hatch into the moth stage. I'm reading the newsletter to suggest that a large number of silkworms are being hatched in order to scale up production. This speaks to a significant increase in capacity.

The other tidbit was an indication that 'several' strains are being reared in the new facility. We don't know if these are some of the latest strains that were made at Notre Dame, hybrids of DS and MS, or Vietnamese strains being reared for production there. But it is good news IMHO.

I agree with this analysis. The company is already ramping up at the Michigan facility, IMHO, plus they are close to entering Vietnam where they will begin full scale production. This is not a high risk stock. It is close to finally taking off. This, I believe, is a stock to buy at these prices. JMHO
