While standing at a pedestrian crossing one day i did see a line of nicotine packed cigarettes pass in front of my eyes. It was as clear an hallucinogen anyone could ever see. On one shake of the head they were for an instant still there. How long that tiny instant was i will never know. Shook my head a 2nd time and those mainly white nicotine sticks were gone. Of course they were never there, yet - believe me - I did see them. That experience was a clincher, as i could finally really understand and appreciate that it really was possible for people to 'see' Jesus, or Mary or cigarettes.
As for the leap of faith required to belief in eternal life, though the idea is as alluring as a warm body on a frighteningly cold day, it is a leap which i will never be able to make. And that is happy and comfortable knowledge for me.
