okay, i honestly don't know what he actually said here, and its not in the accessible part of his archive. as i said, i don't agree with much of what he says. nevertheless, i'd hope he's a bit more logical than to make an argument like that. i mean, once you open up the possibility that 9/11 was some sort of divine retribution, then you start a debate on what its retribution for. and if you look at the targets, you'd have to say its more likely something about power, wall street, exploitation, etc than about gay rights or abortion ... robertson, on the other hand, i can see saying such a thing, since his audience would think to question. but then, what do you expect from someone who asks his followers to pray that one of the three "liberal" supreme court judges be forced to retire so that bush can appoint someone friendly to his agenda ...
oh, and they're not taliban because the taliban made the law, and these folks just influence the process. and that's cool, in the absence of a philospher-king. (bill clinton, anyone? j/k :-)
