Jimmy Kimmel’s Plan to Stop Trump’s Angry Tweeting
Published on Oct 12, 2017 by Jimmy Kimmel Live
Jimmy talks about Donald Trump’s battle with Puerto Rico and his tweeting problem. Donald Trump does most of his angry tweeting in the early morning so Jimmy devised a plan to keep those little thumbs busy with something less destructive.
Vanity Fair reported that Trump said he hates everyone in the White House and that he is not getting along with General John Kelly. So this started Trump on another tweet storm about fake news which gave Jimmy a fun idea. Everything that Trump says is fake is true and everything he says is honest is dishonest so we went through his tweets and fixed them up a bit. We also slowed Trump down for tonight's edition of #DrunkDonaldTrump.

Kim Jong-un is trying to lure tourists to North Korea by turning the city of Wonsan, which is where North Korea conducts many of their missile tests, into a major tourist destination. While a tourism push seems like a very curious move at this point in time, not only are they doing it, they're even marketing to Americans.

Sandberg says Facebook allows fake news ads from legit accounts If the Russian-bought election interference ads hadn’t been bought by fraudulent accounts, “Most of them would be allowed to run” Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg said this morning. “The responsibility of an open platform is to allow people to express themselves” she said during the first of an Axios interview series with Facebook execs. “The thing about free expression is when you allow free expression you allow free expression” Sandberg said, noting that “we don’t check what people post” and that she doesn’t think people should want Facebook to. The linchpin quote of the interview was when Sandberg said “The question is should divisive, political, or issue ads run … our answer is yes, because when you cut off speech for one person, then you cut off speech for all people.” The perspective maintains Facebook’s neutrality across the political spectrum and absolves it from being the truth police. But it also means that it’s knowingly creating a platform where people can misinform each other. That raises the question of how free speech scales to user-generated content sharing networks that lack the curation and editorial oversight of traditional news distribution systems. Sandberg dodged Axios editor Mike Allen’s question about whether Facebook is a media company, and wasn’t pressed about how it accepts money for ads like other media companies. The little red pill being pushed on the elderly CNN investigation exposes inappropriate use of drug in nursing homes The maker of a little red pill intended to treat a rare condition is raking in hundreds of millions of dollars a year as it aggressively targets frail and elderly nursing home residents for whom the drug may be unnecessary or even unsafe,?a CNN investigation has found. And much of the money is coming straight from the federal government. The pill, called Nuedexta, is approved to treat a disorder marked by sudden and uncontrollable laughing or crying -- known as pseudobulbar affect, or PBA. This condition afflicts less than 1% of all Americans, based on a calculation using the drugmaker's own figures, and it is most commonly associated with people who have multiple sclerosis (MS) or ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Nuedexta's financial success, however, is being propelled by a sales force focused on expanding the drug's use among elderly patients suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's disease, and high-volume prescribing and advocacy efforts by doctors receiving payments from the company, CNN found. Ryan blasts states that send billions to federal government WASHINGTON (AP) — The top House Republican on Thursday blasted high-tax states that deliver billions to the federal government as he faced a backlash from rank-and-file GOP lawmakers over a sweeping tax-cut proposal. Speaker Paul Ryan went on the offensive against high-tax states like California, New York and New Jersey, even though disgruntled GOP lawmakers from those states need to be brought on board to support the $6 trillion tax overhaul. The Republican lawmakers from high-tax states oppose the plan’s proposal to repeal the popular federal deduction for state and local taxes. But Ryan contended the rest of the country is “propping up profligate, big-government states” that levy high taxes on their residents and spend recklessly. “States that got their act together are paying for states that didn’t,” the Wisconsin lawmaker said at an appearance at the conservative Heritage Foundation. In fact, California, New York and New Jersey send many billions more in taxes to Washington than they get back in federal spending, new data show. Divided by total state residents, New York gets back 81 cents for every $1 it pays in, New Jersey receives 74 cents and California 96 cents, according to an analysis released last month by the Rockefeller Institute of Government. New York contributed $48 billion more in taxes to the federal government than it received in government spending — the biggest deficit the analysis found. New Jersey gave $31 billion more in taxes than it got back and California $17 billion more, the data show. The figures were for the budget year ending Sept. 30, 2015.
