fastlizzy -- within the rather vast bounds of his history of having dealt and hobnobbed with so many who've been or tried to be anybody in that 'Hollywood' realm and from that with so many others, he has had his history of contributing to and hobnobbing with Democrats, including some very prominent ones -- don't know if/haven't specifically heard to the effect that he has also, within those bounds, had any particular history of contributing to/hobnobbing with any wingbutt/bagnut/teabuggerer/fibertarian Teaflublicans

I think his donations imply he is, but I do know many of the Hollywood crowd are republican. They were even more so when I lived there in the 70s. I do think the old moral majority type conservatives have come a long way towards the center though, as the left went even further left. I think the whole tranny/bathroom/locker room issue turned many people in the center off.
