It was a hearing in House only. If congress hates us so badly why can not congress pass laws to reform housing finance even after 9 years.

Members of Congress know very well that rhetorical posturing is cheap and walking the talk is expensive and difficult.

There are very very expensive consequences to Obama wind down or MBA plans and Congress knows it very well.

I have a feeling that the conservatorship and NWS were at least in part retaliation for FnF throwing their weight around (through aggressive lobbying) leading up to 2008. With the lack of term limits in Congress we still have many of those who are dyed-in-the-wool anti-FnF to the bone, RNC resolutions (where applicable) be damned.

If you didn't know this already - this might be the wrong stock for you. Congress hates F&F shareholders. The public hates F&F shareholders. The media hates F&F shareholders. The President hates F&F shareholders.

Luckily Treasury does not hate us. To them we are just a gnat on the wall - to be ignored or swatted. Too unimportant to hate.

But once you know where you fit in the scheme of things you can set your expectations correctly.

Congress as a legislative branch of Gov, is the most powerful of 3 branches. Congress can make laws even when POTUS does not agree. Congress can remove Judges and POTUS for any cause (or no cause). Only thing Congress can not do is, change Constitution alone. But we have seen with HERA, an attempt to alter constitution with conniving Judges.

Tell me one reason why such a Congress has not done anything to dismantle something it hates so much. Why would legislative branch of Gov hate private shareholder companies created by its own act?

It does make any sense with your patronizing comments.
