Lets see...How many Big Macs do you have to eat...out of the building like smokers..until you die? How many people are killed by Quarter Pounders with cheese? Oh and if you took high fructose corn syrup out of every McDonald's product how would they taste? Don't want to hit below the belt here but coming from a California resident the question is sort of non sequitur. The FDA would never force a food company to lower anything. The food companies would improvise with artificial sweeteners and nuclear salt!

Sure McDonalds makes 60% of the nation overweight but they do not have the kill ratio of Marlboros.

I think your question is similar to mine as to why BAT did not want to follow the VLN route. My guess is they wanted a high nicotine low burn product which lowers the tar levels. But I stand by my statement that I am glad we have gotten out of the deal. BAT did not have the right to assign the patents. If they did I am sure they would never have walked away. We ducked a bullet I believe.
