I agree. However, this week we replaced some old Pentium 120's rather than fix them (so now our help can get their E-Bay updates quicker instead of actually working <G>). We use them to run our proprietary DOS based business programs on Netware, so speed is not a problem (Netware is quite efficient with system resources).
We used to turn our old computers into print servers, but that's not even worth doing anymore.
My primary machine is an old IBM Pentium II 266 server. It works just fine.
I have a laptop I haven't really used that's about 600 MHZ, as what I do runs just fine on my primary machine.
At home I have a combination Athlon 2.2/whole house heating system <G>
