I guess everyone has a point where they are willing to settle for something that the have feelings against. In terms of employee compensation, I think it's great for shareholders to allow options that give incentive for people to work harder. In the case of executives, I wouldn't mind, either, provided they can demonstrate that they deserve their compensation based on their performance. For AMD executives, they've demonstrated that their employees have the competence to make extraordinary products; yet, at the same time, the management can't manage to hold of their losses, much less make a healthy profit. In this case, the money should be going back to the shareholders.
