Re: Stage III NSCLC /AZN’s PACIFIC study
The two trials you cited, POSEIDON and CASPIAN, do not address the patient population treated in AZN’ PACIFIC study. POSEIDON is for Stage IV (metastatic) disease only; CASPIAN includes some Stage III patients, but only those whose lung tumors are too widely dispersed for radiation treatment to be feasible.
To re-iterate: My question regarding PACIFIC is whether it might be more efficacious to treat Stage III NSCLC with simultaneous chemo/radiation/Imfinzi rather than chemo/radiation followed ≥6 weeks later by Imfinzi monotherapy, as was done in PACIFIC.
