What I don't understand is WHY the media turned 180 degrees from a few ridicules here and there of Trump over those 30+ years into this madding-hatred of the man since the election?

That is a bunch of crap. The media reports on Trump's lies and he in turn calls it fake news. At which point his Trump supporters say they hate him.

I've seen the same argument posted elsewhere; the election of Trump brought out the hatred by the left.

So the NYT, the WAPO and the WSJ are all wrong and Trump is right.

Yes even the WSJ has called Trump out on some of his lies.
