Gilead made it's immuno-oncology move for Kite's CAR-T, paying $11.9 billion. GILD needs to make another move for the necessary safety augmentation that CAR-T requires for efficacy AND safety.

What's left in the tank?

Novartis already has it's CAR-T. The MSK Wolchok lab has demonstrated that anti-PS provides that needed safety when used in combination with CAR-T therapy. Will Novartis now make a move for Peregrine's anti-PS??

You do realize that big successful pharmas get that way and stay that way by buying companies whose drugs have been successful in clinical trials like KITE, not those whose drug has failed in every trial tested like PPHM, right?

Driving from Villa d' Este, Lake Como, on Friday, August 11, to Basel, we noticed a tall, green-colored office building that my wife remembered from her law firm days when she often flew, back and forth, from D.C. to Basel to work in conjunction with Roche. Not far away was a striking, newer 17-story office building that we were told houses Roche hdqs. Another 22-story office building is under construction---we were told that building is being built by Roche as well.

Those buildings were visible in the background from our hotel(Les Trois Rois) on the banks of the Rhine. Directly across the Rhine, on the other bank, were facilities of BASF between facilities of NVS and Roche, with what I assumed were supply/delivery pipelines seemingly connecting all. I recalled NVS still owns a lower % of Roche shares than the > 40% it once owned.

Like you, sunstar, I wondered then how all would play out insofar as PPHM is concerned...and that was before I knew about GILD acquiring KITE. We are still wondering.
