All politics is local, as they say. I live in a little desert cowboy town, and the ranchers use Mexican labor for range riders and hay making (although many are not first generation from Mexico) and in my area, a couple "patrons" sort of control that group, as they feel they have a good thing going and don't want to mess up a good thing. For example, any gang type stuff that shows up is given a bus ticket out, pronto.

Anyway, I personally observed two ranch pickups that have had "Trump/Pence" bumper stickers on the back since the last election, suddenly, as in the last couple days, have blank spots where those stickers were. To see such staunch republicans show sympathy for their workers/friends, actually made me feel less wildly angry at what trump did today.

Almost anything that bastard does has unintended consequences, and this one is far from over.

Peg, and all -- the link for that one:

and one bit left out immediately following the Evan McMullin tweet toward the end:

That torchlight rally on Friday night, when protesters gave the Nazi salute, chanted “blood and soil” — a Nazi slogan — and “Jews will not replace us”?

“We must love each other, show affection for each other, and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry and violence,” he said. “We must discover the bonds of love and loyalty that bring us together as Americans. Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans.”

Is there a Trumpaphobe, ANYWHERE, that disagrees with that statement - other than Philip Bump that works for a company with a subtitle "Democracy Dies In Darkness"?
