Bush41 understood the Middle East well. He knew that occupying Iraq would be a death sentence for whoever did it. And he knew what that meant politically. Dubya just didn't have the smarts to sort it out, and of course he didn't have Bush41's military experience. Dubya got dragged under by some very dangerous ruthless men. Dubya had it coming but the USA deserves better.
