That's a very good question indeed. Personally, I think AT is a snakey SOB. I have never liked them or respected them. They continually abuse their own customers to boost their bottom line. Wherever there's "suspicious trading" occurring, Ameritrade always seems to be right there in the spotlight.
I also don't think it's fair they would shut down the buy side on CSHD. Shut BOTH sides down, not just one. Like Fidelity. They are total OTC cowards. When they bail, they bail completely. No buys, no sells.
To Fidelity's credit - they ususally turn out to be right for doing it, and have saved me more than once.
