Thanks TFN. I did some clicks on e-trade and that's where I got the hold for a year for reduced tax numbers. But it still seemed a little vague. I'm not too worried about it for now.

Of course you are right if G25 is talking about US tax regs but he/she may be a citizen of a country that taxes gains on assets held. I know the UK was like that at one time and may still have that in their code.
