The intent is obvious- stop the bleeding by the clueless management/BOD.

glaring truth- my 17yrs of investment with six figure losses.

some lack of knowledge or understanding- i'm going to believe that in their talks with management that it became clear where this management/BOD vision going forward was, and that the scorched earth/share holder policy needed to stop.
