They call it a NASDAQ Symbol because it is very common to have a NASDAQ Symbol if their ambition is to go to the NASDAQ in the future.
So having a NASDAQ symbol doesn't mean you trade DIRECTLY/NOW on the NASDAQ.

A NASDAQ Symbol is an Identifier of the security used to in various NASDAQ connectivity protocols and NASDAQ market data feeds. Typical identifiers have 1-5 character root symbol and then 1-3 characters for suffixes. Allow up to 14 characters.
