NP,first let me say that I never use Yahoo finance for accurate info on a stock....I have found a lot of misinformation posted on boards that traced back to Yahoo.The beta figure of 6.2 for GZFX I must assume is meant to be 1.62 instead.I say that for this reason...If a stocks beta or volatility is as the example I used is 1.75 then that means it moves 75% to the general market for the stock...as you can see that would be quite a swing.With GZ's current trading condition there is almost no swing to the market therefore beta would be quite low.I frankly do not even remember the source(s) for beta coefficient that I have used in the distant past on various stocks since IMO once beta is understood then a simple look at the chart itself pretty well shows you if its a wild swinger,mild swinger or simply channeling with very little swing in the PPS.Bottom line is GZFX at present has to be a low beta stock by definition.
