My Grandmothers Way
Such as it is humbling that death finds mortality vain and ignorant.
For we seek that which passes not into death,
But forsaken Life which passes from death,
By the hand of our Lord.
For what does our eyes see, but an horizon afar off,
Yet our soul seeks what is beyond our comprehension;
While our flesh hangs the vail of Earthly things to blind us.
It is but the soft spoken words of God
That pierces the coldness of that that does forsaken us unto utter darkness.
And bring everlasting Light to those who calls upon His name.
