Instead of the Parkway, what about taking 22 (or 287 or 78?) west, and go north from there, or perhaps head for the George Washington bridge?

CNN reports Mayor Bloomberg says some power is coming back on and tomorrow will be business as usual.

The news reports are that Niagara-Mohawk power station went down and caused the blackouts. No reports of plants on fire or anything like that.

I heard from fire companies in Union county are covering for those Eilzabeth, Linden and Rahway fire companies that are repsonding to that fire at Tosco plant.

Fire companies have been told that fire happens becuase of power shutoff not terrorism.

However, that plant was the one that I reported that one of my employees saw tow people being led away in schacles for tresspassing on that site in Jan 2003 during his traffic court appearence in Feb 2002.

The fire is not terrorism.

BULLSHIT IT ISN't

I got off phone with one of my employees who was in Linden NJ Courthouse on 1/23/03 to settle a traffic ticket. He saw two people from Turkey who spoke no English shackled together being detaining without bail for tresspassing on a Linden, NJ refinery.

I have no reason to doubt my employee's account of the story. I repeat I know reason to doubt my employee who was there in person.

MAIN, coming south on the NJ Tpk at about 5:30pm Thurs evening I also noticed the black smoke at these refineries. (CBS) radio reported it was caused by a switch-over in their power supply and not a problem.
