I disagree
Read up on what national security consists of and new science and technology can take you places that you must predict with assurance that the good outweighs the bad at times and KNOWING all paths that can be taken, utilized, abused...etc
There are dozens of examples but how about if one Country had access to a stockpiled drug/vaccine that could wipe out certain geographic areas at will....
Just seeing deeper into the cellular levels and knowing protein pathways will help spur innovation and medical treatment...
Think of one Country taking the lead in the Space Program...NASA.. where radiation/lung cancer is the #1 threat...and they counter that for 10 years sooner than all others and claim the best landscapes of the space program...
Think of one Country with enough food vs all others...with the growing population....due to new crop threats or sabotaged crops and no understanding on how to protect their crops from disease ...famine...(think of Potatoes famine in Ireland.)
Well maybe one thinks differently of what National Security interests are.....and the new science spinning off of PS Targeting takes us to those newly restored National Security issues that have always plagued societies....
I hold my ground in saying no way would National Security just allow PS Targeting technological expertise just left in rogue hands...
