We have to remember there are people who are in this from below one cent and don't call companies or review message boards. They may not be aware how close we are and locking in profits.
On another note, I have often thought people will use 10,000 share asks and some all or nine sells (so they don't show up on the L2) to mimic dilution and load shares.
