Omirag - I'll take a stab without captials. We can redeem the notes up to the 180th day, but the amount increases from 125%@90 to 150%@120 days. After the 180 days they will convert at the market discounted rate.
Looking at it from that standpoint, you simply have to ask the following: Can I decide within 4-6 months if things are progressing to my satisfaction? And do I have a problem with about 13-15million shares hitting the market at 3 cents.
If the share price hits 3 within 6 months, then I think we will be able to weather the 13-15 mil, Heck we are doing that kind of volume in a day right now when it is slow. If there was decent news that propelled us over 3 cents I think we would barely notice that amount sold.
In the next 4-6 months we should have lots of updates IF this is progressing as it should. Updates from Trinity, and not to mention the expiration of the land purchase contract will occur within that time frame.
If we don't close on the land and let the purchase contract expire, or if Trinity has not applied for permits in that time frame, how would we be on schedule to start construction in 2018? (estimating that permits take 9 months).
Considering just those two things, I feel comfortable personally that I will be either satisfied with the progress of the project, or long gone, before those notes convert at your worst case scenario amounts of 70mil.
If those two aren't enough remember that we expect the KPE scoping study to be completed, and then their FEED study to be started. MMEX should provide info on their supply and offtake discussions and disclose some financial advisory discussions in that window too.
I don't see how investors will be around in 6 months to worry about the notes if none of those milestones are occurring. That is my perspective.
My main gripe with the notes is that it would be prudent to tell investors what they are for if MMEX wanted to nurture the stock price. If they are going for project tasks, then they would be better received and I would be glad to hear that kind of info in the 8Ks.
