Here's what you seem to not be getting. You are forgetting that this is a different BLDV that existed back then. During such time of Jan 2017, BLDV was sitting at the .0001 to .0003 range. That agreement was done based on where the price of BLDV was in the area of then... not now. Plug in the Jan 2017 dates within the link below and see for yourself:

Let's be realistic - if someone owes you a debt and that person says hey "I'll give you this because it will be worth X in a few months" would you take it? Heck no! You would want something that you could sell/trade at that moment that would settle the debt! Taking anything less than what your debt is worth would be crazy.
