My take on the deal is that TMO is becoming a bit too much like the old VRX—they're buying anything they can.

I have to agree with that. Their goodwill and intangible assets have ballooned as of late.

TMO is fighting the Merck Kgaa/Millipore group and the Pfizer/GE group for prominence.
