a|44: Let's hope that it doesn't come to that. If Trump can kick out the illegals, eliminate Government agencies, bring down the cost of prescription meds, reform Medicare, AND, grow GNP at a decent clip, we could get out of this mess.

This sounds drastic, but should China become as incredibly rich as England and the U.S. were in the 19th and 20th Centuries, respectively, the U.S. could sell them territories, such as Guam or Hawaii to get out of debt. (Hawaii votes Democrat, so who cares! LOL)

In 1929, the U.S. was not up to its eyeballs in oil and natural gas (at least recoverable oil and gas) and food production was still in the Middle Ages! I don't think things would become too desperate.

What people cannot stockpile are drugs that they need to stay alive--heart and diabetes meds--for example. A LOT of people would die if the Government did not step in and nationalize the pharmaceutical industry.

al,...the elite powers of control operating through this government will never allow a barter system.

they can't tax a barter system,...

they can't keep track of any transactions,...

they can't mandate any laws to maintain control,...

their entire debtor system is based on this shadow government receiving tax dollars as payment.

the only way it could occur is IF we get rid of the Federal Reserve and that possibility can only occur if there is a nation-wide revolution and the entire government is overthrown. a.k.a.,..the pichforks are coming !

believe me i wish it could occur. less government interference is on my checklist.

i hope this potential barter system catches fire and spreads,...
