high.dry.Justin...

Glub.

Thanks for the reminder... I forgot to do the morning fruitless vacuum up the water in the basement adventure. Fortunately it comes in one side and runs out the other.

Last night's downpour was another "gully washer." <g> I had Niagra Falls coming through the retaining wall and the Mississippi flowing through the basement. Haven't checked the weather yet, but I hope Wednesday's promised dry spell comes through.

Enough already.

"It rained cats and dogs."

Someone posted a list of origins of phrases including the above... might have been greg. That one was traced back to the days of thatched roofs. The domestic animals used to make their homes in the roof. When there was a "gully washer"... they would be washed out of the roof... therefore it was raining cats and dogs. :-)

You're making great progress on the photos. Looking forward to seeing them.

Another thought triggered by the 20 year old images. Color has a tendency to fade. Don't know how well preserved yours is. You might want to scan the negatives on CD (which I believe has higher resolution) for replacement prints down the line.

At the risk of wounding a few male egos <g>... the person to ask about these matters is PMS Witch... sorry PW for volunteering you. She recently began working with a digital camera and has extensive PC/programming expertise. She is also one of the best writers on the internet... anything she explains will be crystal clear.

Have fun with the new phase in photography... I have to go back to wORk today. Sigh... but with gratitude for having a job. We're supposed to have a team lunch, but I am going to try to beg off... short on funds and I have to make up for yesterday's lost time. Ya play, ya pay. <ggg>
