17:48 ET - Fitbit(FIT) says that plans for its new smartwatch are "on track." FIT CEO James Park says "business is going as planned," in response to a question about reports of potential delays in launching it this year. "That is why we're reaffirming full guidance on this call," he adds during today's conference call with analysts. Park did not offer a launch date or any details around features or pricing. FIT is entering a crowded field with competing products from Apple (AAPL) and Garmin (GRMN). Even so, Park says FIT remains "optimistic" about that category, a sentiment driven by what the company feels "is going to be our own unique perspective," when the product launches.
