It appears as if the once confident Rufus has been replaced by the evasive.. nervously laughing Rufus with no answers and a growing inability to even dance around the subject.
Based upon past experience, this is where things get really ugly for Rufus. I suspect we are not far from the point where we no longer hear from him at all. I cannot imagine him sharing his view of this collapse with all of us.
The unfortunate thing for Rufus and Ben is that, unlike in the past, when their schemes fell apart, they would blow it off and move on.. when this house of cards comes crashing down, their troubles will have just begun. There will be simply too much money lost in this deal and too many regulators wanting to hold him accountable for him to throw up his hands and walk away.
