I totally disagree and you are providing wrong information to this board. I have yet to hear or see where an auditor would have to tell a company to keep quiet about the details of an acquisition that hasn't been finalized in the eyes of both parties.
It is for the most part the other way around - the auditors are one of the last key players to know. Auditors verify the deal, they don't put the deal together. Auditors calculate an asset value as AT a certain date. The next day it may be significantly different.
