Shows what little you know. For the most part the BBB usually seeks you out ( but you can also seek them out to) and for a fee you become a member. However if you are dishoset and dont live upto a certain reputation you possibly and mostlikely will get the boot until you clean up your act. And no it is not just for retail and service oriented business but for all legitimate business's and usually have quite a bit of large companies associated with them (who have nothing to due with retail or service oriented) who may also be the board it its own area and help to set the standards.
