Yes, Exactly right! They are going to break into the TAXI market. Until now EV's have not been a viable option for Taxis due to the fact that the batteries did not last through a driver's full shift and the charging time is too long.
This patent technology allows for longer battery life with a lower cost. The also have several patents for quick replacement of batteries which they will focus on Taxi fleets and buses at first. The batteries can be replaced with a fully charged battery in about 90 seconds.
