mar-key- the restriction on online buying has nothing to do with the sec, and is simply a self-implemented measure by the brokers based on volatile trading activity. the security is fully tradeable, save for the fact that the brokers have limited online trading in order to take out the possibility that manipulation, if any, is occurring through a hacker purchasing shares through others' accounts.

Mar-Key,
The brokerage houses are concerned with their accounts being hacked by overseas individuals, and those individuals using the funds in those accounts to run up certain stocks, and then sell into the run ups.....when a stock has been listed and then starts abnormal movement, it triggers an alert whereby the brokerage house ceases electronic trading until they can confirm/deny the presence of illicit activity..

MAR-kEY,

Ditto on the bus adventure. Too, how many people driving along the freeways and streets will go home and google that new name they saw wrapped around that bus.

A agree with VPBanker, though, more should be done to excite college students.

Also, I just returned from a trip which included Lake Almanor in northern California, where much to my surprise several retirees were subscribed to NFLX. More and more seniors are becoming technology literate. And the baby boomers already are when they retire.

An ad in AARP wouldn't hurt.
