It's a very important point, in my opinion.
Doubling headcount, as Seymour claims in one of his CEO letters, would only serve to increase the pot of money from which Diwan skims 30%, if all of those employees work the Theracour.
To my mind, given Seymour's claims, there's no need for having a 30 person research staff. NNVC only has two steps to complete, and neither requires a team of PhDs doing basic research: 1) send candidate to an outside lab to be tested for efficacy, and 2) pay a CRO to do the IND enabling studies to complete an IND application.
NNVC has exactly one candidate according to Seymour's recent "private" email. Having an army of PhD's doing research doesn't contribute anything to its development at this point.
