Both Sears and JCP were anchor stores in a mall 5 minutes from my house. I'd buy my tools, appliances and my wife would buy sheets and clothes at JCP and Sears.
Once the whole mall went out it is just an inconvenience to drive 1/2 hour to either one.
Now it's Kohls and Target for her and HD and Lowes for me.
It's a shame both couldn't figure out how to survive.
