Hey, Brain...we're tough on criminals here in Texas... but we don't go around shooting people unless they break into our homes with intent to do bodily harm ...that's just one example, BTW.
We can legally carry a gun if we've passed all the requirements but we're subject to the same laws as the rest of the country if we shoot somebody.
