Well ok, I definitely think it would be worthwhile to flush out the details. It's an area I know very little about.

Where's the conflict lakedweller? It's only in your mind. Asset transfers are not filed with the Secretary of State.

The Secretary of State in each state is largely where legal filings go, a record of the legal structure of an entity, which is authorized by the state to exist. The SOS cares not for what assets are owned.

There are other departments that get involved, e.g., revenue or tax but not SOS.
