I believe you are right. If you have a sibling with type 1 diabetes your odds of also having it are 1 in 4 (25%). My son is Type 1 and we worry everyday about my daughter. She is now 9 (the age my son was diagnosed). So far no signs of it. I believe siblings and other blood relatives is who they will target as the predisposition to contract it is 100 times greater
