Forgive my naivety, but wouldn't it make more sense for a company to release news , let it run, and then tap the credit line to increase the VWAP and therefore reducing the amount of shares swapped for the same amount of cash?
Maybe there is some stipulation in the credit line contract that prevents them from doing so?
