they do Lowes carries a higher end product line and caters to woman, but they have all the contacts suppliers and the distribution network, its all bricks and sticks, the diff in the dollors are the finish work

oilbaron...I totally agree! I've done all of my own remodeling, and by far out here in Socal Los Angeles, Lowe's gets most of my money for supplies, and a whole lot better service. At least their employees are mostly genuinely interested in what project you happen to be working on, and some actually like to see pictures of your finished work. You don't see that level of involvement at Home Depot stores.
