I don't think the CEO of the company is responsible for the spread of the market maker bid ask. Guys, those prices represent whatever bids and asks are in for the stock from trader and investors like you and me. What do you expect the co to do about it? Gosh ....
The spread will change when someone puts in a higher bid or lower ask through their broker.
