EU, I agree that realtors can and do provide a service, but it is simply not worth their exhorbitant fees when you put it on a hourly basis, which is right up there with doctors and lawyers, maybe more. And yet, they have so ingrained themselves into the process that a lot of folks think they can't sell a nice piece of property without one. As someone who has built and sold a house as a builder, I *know* the amount of sweat and hard work that goes into one, and I simply cannot equate on a dollar basis what a realtor adds to the process against what they think, and have convinced most people, that they are worth.
