The common shares are gone. And the trading symbol is not the stock. They are two different things. The ticker continues to trade after the share have been cancelled until such a date as FINRA is notified.
Think of this stock like Confederate paper money. You can still buy it, but there is nothing backing it. They have also been cancelled, just like ARIOQ. But at least with the Confederate money, you can frame it. No such luck with ARIOQ.
